Match the kit to your Yamaha

Yamaha changed its front end across generations, so lift kits are model-specific. Drive2 (2017 onward), Drive / G29 (2007–2016) and the earlier G22, G19 and G16 each take different kits. Gas and electric versions can also differ. Check the listing names your model and year before ordering — the serial number under the seat confirms both.

Choosing a lift height

Pick the lift based on the tire you plan to run. Roughly, 3″–4″ clears 12″–14″ wheels with all-terrain tires, and 6″+ suits 15″ wheels. Taller is not automatically better — more lift means a higher centre of gravity and a less planted cart in corners.

What else you will need

Most owners fit wheels and tires at the same time, since clearance is the whole point of the lift. After installation, check brake-line length and steering travel, and get the front end aligned if the kit changes geometry.
