Golf cart battery chargers in 36V and 48V for EZGO, Club Car, Yamaha and Evolution carts — on-board and portable units from FORM Charge, MODZ, Reliance and Bolt Energy. This collection holds around 43 chargers priced from roughly $65 to $480. All are new, US-shipped, and listed with the voltage and connector type they are built for.

Match the voltage first

A golf cart charger has to match the pack it charges. Six 6-volt batteries means a 36V cart; six 8-volt or four 12-volt batteries means 48V. A 48V charger will not properly charge a 36V pack, and the reverse can be unsafe. If you are unsure, our guide on checking golf cart voltage shows exactly what to look for.

Then match the plug

The second thing to check is the connector. Club Car, EZGO and Yamaha use different charging receptacles, and older models within a brand can differ from newer ones. Ordering the right plug style is the difference between plugging in and sending the charger back — it is the most frequent return reason we see on chargers.

Lithium packs need a lithium charger

Lead-acid and lithium batteries want different charge profiles. Using a lead-acid charger on a lithium pack can leave it undercharged or trip the battery management system. If you have converted to lithium, buy a charger rated for it, or one from the same system as your conversion kit.

On-board or portable?

On-board chargers live on the cart and let you plug into any standard outlet, which suits owners who charge in different places. Portable units stay in the garage and can be shared between carts. Both charge the same way — the choice is about where you want the hardware to sit.
