Which Yamaha do you have?
Drive2 (2017 onward) and Drive / G29 (2007–2016) are typically 48V. Older G22, G19, G16 and earlier carts are frequently 36V. Count the batteries to confirm: six 6-volt batteries is 36V, while six 8-volt or four 12-volt batteries is 48V.
Yamaha uses its own plug
Yamaha's charging receptacle differs from Club Car's and EZGO's, and there are variations between Yamaha generations too. Match the connector shown on the product page to the one on your cart. If the plug does not seat cleanly, it is the wrong charger — do not force it.
Lithium conversions
A Yamaha converted to lithium needs a lithium-profile charger. Lead-acid chargers use a different voltage curve and can leave a lithium pack short of full charge or be refused by its battery management system.
