How much lift for your tires?

Choose the lift from the tire you want, not the other way round. A 3″–4″ lift generally clears 12″–14″ wheels with all-terrain tires; 6″ and up suits 15″ wheels with large tires. Going taller than needed raises the centre of gravity and makes the cart less stable in turns, so match the kit to the overall tire diameter listed on the product page.

Precedent, Onward, Tempo or DS?

These platforms use different front ends, so lift kits are not interchangeable. The DS (1981–2014) is the oldest and has its own kits; the Precedent (2004 onward), Onward and Tempo share the newer chassis but still have model-specific fitments. Check the listing names your model and year, and whether your cart is gas or electric — those often use different front components.

After fitting

Plan for a few follow-up jobs: check and if needed extend brake lines, confirm steering components move freely through full travel, and have the front end aligned on kits that change geometry. Budget for wheels and tires at the same time — most owners fit both together.
