G22 fitment notes
The G22 shares wheels, tires and many bolt-on accessories with newer Yamahas, but its body panels, windshields and light kits are G-series specific and will not fit a Drive or Drive2. When a listing gives a year range, match it against your serial number rather than the cart's appearance.
Batteries on an older G22
Electric G22 carts may be 36V or 48V depending on configuration. Count the batteries: six 6-volt is 36V; six 8-volt or four 12-volt is 48V. On a cart of this age, a tired battery pack is the usual cause of poor range, and a lithium conversion is a popular way to modernise it.
Keeping a G22 going
The parts that wear out first are seats, tires, batteries and lighting. All are straightforward to replace, which is why well-kept G22s remain in service two decades on.
