Club Car Precedent parts and accessories — wheels and tires, seats, lift kits, windshields, lighting, body panels and chargers for the Precedent. Introduced in 2004, the Precedent replaced the DS and brought the rounded body Club Car still builds on today, so it takes different body and lighting parts to the older DS.
Precedent model years
The Precedent ran in gas and electric versions and was updated several times. The most important differences for parts are the body generation, whether the cart is gas or electric, and on electric models the 36V or 48V pack. Later Precedent carts also introduced the IQ and Excel drive systems. The serial number, usually under the passenger seat or on the frame, identifies the year.
Precedent vs Onward and Tempo
The Onward and Tempo share design DNA with the Precedent but are separate platforms with their own body panels and windshields. Wheels, tires and many bolt-on accessories interchange freely; anything that mounts to the body usually does not.
Popular Precedent upgrades
Most owners start with wheel-and-tire combos, lift kits, seats and windshields. A lift kit is needed once you move past roughly a 20″ overall tire diameter. For older electric Precedents, a lithium conversion removes watering and corrosion maintenance and cuts a lot of weight.
